In 1833, the Leonid Meteor Shower lit up the sky in what came to be called “The Night the Stars Fell.” At its peak, an estimated 150,000 meteors per hour rained down. Newspapers described a “fiery spectacle” beyond explanation. For some, it stirred awe. For others, terror. For the world, it sparked a fascination with science that carried forward for generations.

I found myself wondering: if the world truly ended that night, what would its soundtrack have been? This program is my attempt to answer.
